Finding a mechanic

Good day all,
How do you locate a mechanic when you are on the road? Is there an app for that? If you are doing an internet search, what terms do you use (local bus mechanic near me?)

If you have a recommendation for a shop in NW Washington state, that is even better (for the moment).

Whereabouts in NW Washington? I'm more central Western WA, but I might be able to help with a name of a place about 2 miles off I-5 and WA-512 (right beside the runway at McChord Field, actually). They are a diesel mechanic place, and they did say they work on the van-based short buses - not everywhere does - and pretty sure they do full-size diesels as well.

There is, actually. findtruckservice.com

You can search on their website and I believe they also have an app.


I haven't used it personally, but I've seen it recommended on this forum.
