Ford conventional exhaust Location

Hello we recently purchased a Ford b800 and have a question regarding the exhaust exit location on the bus. It exits under the rear bumper below the emergency door. Is this only an issue. Have read online that Shall exit to the left, or so many inches from chassis centerline. Does this apply to personal use bus? Thank you.

These are the fed regulations on bus exhausts:

Quote:
(d) The exhaust system of a bus using fuels other than gasoline shall discharge to the atmosphere either:

(1) At or within 15 inches forward of the rearmost part of the vehicle; or

(2) To the rear of all doors or windows designed to be open, except windows designed to be opened solely as emergency exits.
There are also varying state regulations on this, but the general principal is that you want the exhaust to be behind any open windows. Your exhaust location is perfectly legal.

musigenesis thank you for that information! We were worried that it was gonna be a $$$ expense. I looked online at some pics of buses some do have it pretty close to the centerline. Thanks again!
