I've only seen fleeting glimpses of it.
I don't like it, though!

5.4's are not something I'd wanna have as an engine. Especially in the cramped engine bay of a van. They're famous for their spark plug replacement nightmares.

I grew up in Northern Illinois back in the late 70's early 80's when we had the heaviest & deepest snow storms plus -30 deg to -60deg wind chill & I would much rather go back & visit family in the winter time than go back in the summer with 100% humidity & 100 deg temp.

And on another note all tho I hate California's political climate it's nice being able to sit outside in the evening enjoying an adult bevarage & not have mosquito's & gnats flying all around you biting & flying into your eyes.

So when you were mentioning GMC/Chevy engines, you said which ones have more problems (for gas) but which ones are the best?

The 6.0L and 6.2L small block gas V-8’s are great engines. The smaller engines are okay but lack the HP if you intend to cruise out on the highway. The big blocks ate good engines as well but they are thirstier than the small blocks for not that much more performance in s G-chassis

when i bought my shorty chevy with a 6.0 in a 5 window bus i was able to run 80 on the interstate with no problems and it had more in it with no problem and ran 1-1/2 hours on the interstate around that speed with no issues.
i was kind of suprised that it did that well.
but happy at the same time.
i filled up about 20 minutes from purchase and it only drank a half tank for a 2 and a half hour drive.
havent calculated the actual mileage yet?
sorry.
good luck
