Frozen door

I have an ‘05 GMC Savana and the past few days it’s been really cold- below freezing. When I’ve gotten home each day, even after just a few hours, the locked door won’t unlock. The key won’t turn all the way. The first day it worked after about 5 minutes of jiggling, twisting the key with a lot of force, and body slamming the door(not sure if that part helped). The second day it took much longer. Probably like 10-15 minutes of standing out in the cold. Today it never worked. Had to come in through the emergency exit on the roof, which itself was difficult to pry open.
Has anyone else dealt with this? What can be done so I don’t go through the same thing tomorrow?

A small butane torch works well.
