Good Sam MH Title

Hi,

I was talking with a Good Sam rep yesterday and he said that one of the requirements to get insurance was that the vehicle cannot be re-titled as an Motor Home.

Is that everyone else’s experience?

This actually doesn’t matter for me. It would have had I decided to buy a bus here in California that was being retired because it didn’t have a particulate filter and I needed to re-title to get the motor home loophole.

Just throwing this out there for the benefit of others because I thought I had figured out how to navigate all the GVWR/smog rules/license limits to conclude a bus purchase.

Is this in only CA, or nationwide?

AFAIK, the titling as a MH smog loophole is CA only.

The Good Sam insurance/title thing, I have no idea. That’s why I posted.
