Google Earth

This is one of the most amazing things i've ever seen on the net! You need windows xp and a broadband connection to view

Google now has a site that offeres satelite images of the entire planet. You can even tilt the map and look at things in 3D.

Maps for big cities like Los Angelos are really high resolution. Other maps are older and not quite as good, buti'm certian that in time the entire world will be high res.

See if you can find your house! Where high res photos exist, you can zoom in close enough to see what make and see what color car someone is driving. i wasn't quite able to decide which make and model cars they were....

Yup, this is a really cool thing.
I've got a laptop with Windows 2000 and just a cellular aircard, I don't know how fast is goes, twice as fast as dial-up I think and Google Earth works fine on it. I thought it would be too slow, but worked OK.

I always used to use Terra Server but Google Earth is much better. Nothing like being able to look at a house that is for sale on a realtor website and then lookup the address and see the house.

Anybody seen the photos of area 51? I think it is terra server that has them. They are pretty good res.

I discovered Google Earth at work. We went to our work address and expected to even see ourselves on the ground (didn't though).

I was messing around with google earth today & I found the bus lot where my bus came from. I know this is it because I bought my bus from my old high school. If this picture is more than 2 years old, my bus is in that lot.
