I finally put the O2 sensor on the truck. WOW! What a difference. Feels like 50% more power!
I'm thinking I'll be getting better mpg's now.
THe old O2 sensor was just broken off and left threaded into the manifold, so my manifold has been leaking exhaust gases this while time too.
Now to figure out where the oil leaks are coming from and do the sparkplugs.

Changed spark plugs. Took about an hour to do all 8. Used anti-seize on them. One of the easier spark plug changes I've done. Will get new cap, wires, and rotor when there's a sale or some sort of discount code.
Got an ac delco oil filter, new rad cap, and 8 ac delco plugs for $30 after a 25% discount at advance auto. Also had discover cash back points so I didn't actually pay anything out of pocket!

Made my own one man bleeder. It sure makes it a lot easier.
Put a tube into an empty bottle with just enough brake fluid to cover the end of the tube in the bottle. Put the tube on the bleeder valve and crack it. Pump till the air is gone. Easy!
Got the lines all re-tightened and re-bled the system FIRM pedal now.
Next up for the brake on this truck will be to eliminate the rear ride height proportioning valve and replace the rubber brake hoses. Thinking of going all out with fancy stainless braided lines.
Gonna smoke one then go get a new hose clamp for the vacuum tube on the booster. Been using a zip tie.

IDK what to do. I simply cannot get it to thread no matter what I try.
Edit- GOT IT!!!
I guess cooling down in the AC and another doob got me re-energized. Its hot out today. Sunny and in the 80's.

Anyone in the area wana help me bleed these brakes? I got a case of beer for ya.

The truck is gonna get more love from here on out. Its been a good one, and got us through the last year as our main means of getting around.
Now that we have a fully functioning bus and a sweet running miata the truck can finally get some much needed r&r.
Speed Bleeders, one man bleeding. Just put them on the Miata.

As a bonafied shade tree mechanic ... I approve this message. (It is, after all, how I bleed my brakes.)

Yep. Makes the other methods seem pretty futile.

Got a new throttle cable on the truck this morning. Pretty simple job.
Discovered a new coolant leak at the thermostat so I got a new stat and gasket. And a couple hose clamps.
If I get this done quickly I'm doing an oil change and I grabbed a pack of oil pan bolts since mine is missing two of them.

I was gonna ask you if you're interested in helping me do a couple bigger jobs.
Trying to make our stuff last as long as possible. New vehicles are junk and I'm holding on to what we have!
oddly- my bus is missing at least one oil pan bolt as well.
