AND>... $580 later I've left the tag office with a plate on my van! Title coming in the mail lol.
That's the most I've ever paid for tax tag and title, but now I'm the coolest van driver in all of Eustis FL haha!

Its got a nice seating position that puts you IN the wind with windows down.
I figure a quick coat of flat white on the roof and my usual roof vent will more than suffice.
Remember- I've only had two or three vehicles with ac in my life. And I've owned at least 30 vehicles.
No ac on a work/utility van is not even a worry!

I'm so happy though, NO MORE TOWING WITH MY SUBARU!

So far all I've done with it was remove the propane rack and the shelves on the driver side. Today I got serious and bought a couple cans of seafoam lol. And some wiper blades.
Every time I get a used vehicle I try do the wiper blades as soon as possible.

the white roof will surely help ! i remember having one of those as a rental a few times and the airflow was pretty good for sure .. how is it geared? low for towing or high for highway?

Nope no od. 3 speed auto. Standard Dodge crap-ola transmission.
No need for od pulling mowers around, though.
Nice set of Goodyears on it with about 85% tread.

Yeah, they did.
The 5.9 came with 4 speed. But I've got a base model 1500 with the 3.9 v6. Its a 3 speed auto.

yep they did.. in fact they were the last vehicle that used it.. the wrangler went to the 42RLE in 2003, these vans i think were dropped after 2003 in favor of the sprinters.

there were 4 speed autos availablke but the base was a 3 speed auto with Lockup.

You sir, are a sick puppy. I've sold cars because it was cheaper than fixing the AC.

Apparently VW washer levels don't like the orange RainX fluid so I've been driving around for a month now with the squirt tube you put directly on the windshield. Every time it rains, "I should have cleaned the windshield and put it on yesterday." Yesterday was clear, today it's supposed to rain. One of these days, I really will get around to using it.

Pro trip of the day: ...
If you ever find yourself in Martinique and you rent from Budget, do not assume that a two door will get you a car. This was a POS complete with a cage inside, window switch falling off in my hands, etc. Do not assume the GPS fastest route is the safest of routes. Instead of The Children of the Corn it was The Children of the Cane. The "road signs" (thankfully there were some) quickly became a post with a 1x4 flat nailed to it.

hey I may not be able to leave sht alone. but i got a shorty now that cruises along the highway at close to 13 MPG.. 65 at 1600 RPM.... And ice-cold air conditioning...

I'll bet EC leaves that van alone... thats his make $$ van now.. doesnt mean he will keep it long though.. rather than mod it.. if he finds something he doesnt liker, he'll flip it for twice what he paid and win an auction on another one for half the price!

Because it's a work van, it HAS to have AC. I just got done cutting some douchenoddle's grass. I ain't driving home soaking wet. I have a set of clothes and coveralls on the bus. Depending on the job, I'll change into one or the other then change back for the drive. AC on full tilt in the TDI. I don't deal well with swamp balls.

I used that rain x crap once in my car, regretted it for years as it makes your wipers smear forever after you quit using their crap

The washer fluid or the squirt bottle wax? I used the squirt bottle before I found the fluid. I never had a problem with either. I've heard it turns white in a salty environment but even in FL I was 35 miles from the coast and never had any trouble. The VW fill sensor is a pain as I'd rather just fill and forget.

It was at least 10 years ago, but RainX totally screwed the windshield on one of my cars too. Made a gawd-awful mess every time it rained for years and nothing I could find would clean that crap off. It was the spray bottle type. Never again.

I doubt either one of us could afford it.
