In honor of the founding father John Adams, I will say it was supposed to be July 2nd, dammit!

Quote:
The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.

I wish every person in this country would stop and reflect on how great this nation truly is....warts and all, there is simply no better place. Could it get better? Of course...but not until we stop yelling at each other. Could it be any worse? Certainly.
But for now, I'm extremely thankful that I, just happened to be an American.
Thanks Great Great Grandad for having the wisdom and the will to escape the Bolsheviks!

When I announced my new 3-wheeled electric car, I declared July 3 the New Independence Day. Freedom from Oil Dependence.

The Elio was dependent on oil, the prototype that was actually built had a 3-cyl geo metro engine.

Here is mine, the IndyOne, built for the US Work Force

/\...That is very Elio like in shape. One of a kind or is it being mass produced?

"Was"??? Elio is still taking pre manufacturing orders, since 2009!

I sent Elio a thousand dollars a couple of years ago, got a bumper sticker and a t-shirt. Draw your own conclusions

You edited after my reply...The Elio was always a scam, all lies, linking to their website should qualify as spam, the founder should be in prison.. or worse.

If we only read the Declaration of Independence once a year, today would be a good day.
