Hardwiring to stop the child alarm

I looked but could not find a thread to help me. If there is one, please direct me. TIA.

I have a 2008 IC CE200 with a "Leave No Student Behind" System with no reset button. (Used to be able to stop the buzzer by opening and closing the back exit.)

However, it appears the door latch/switch/lock that used to connect the circuit to disable the alarm is caput.

Is there a way to hardwire the end to make the system assume the connection is not broken (door open), but indeed still intact (door locked)?

Any input or suggestions appreciated.

Thank you.
Mandi W

Thank you! I read that, I guess I'm curious if there is anyone with my specific system.

Maybe you could call the manufacturer?

I'm a little confused. Every school bus I have been in the child minder doesn't activate unless you use the 8-ways (the amber/red/stop sign) lights. Unless you are using it as a school bus you would have no reason to activate that system, so the child minder should never activate and therefore never be a problem.

The emergency door alarm is the alarm that is going off. It appears the switch that pushes in to complete the circuit for the system to not sound has worn out and I don't know how to shut it off. It continually buzzes in the back and bings in the front, even when driving.

Is it the switch or the door latch that has worn out. Careful of old latches!

If that’s the problem you should be able to bypass the switch by connecting the wires to it
