Yay camping! I love going out in ours. Unfortunately, my Mother-in-law just had her knee replaced, so we are stuck here for a while taking care of her. Going to see what we can get done on the bus while we're here...

Springhill Park in Barling Arkansas... Couldn't get too far away, I have to drive suburban to work everyday 
More importantly, I'm waking up everyday to different scenery 
I'm amazed how dirty the windshield got from sitting in shop since September 1st!

It's Sunday... Day after my birthday, the kids came in from college last night and took them into town for dinner... Was going to go to the movies, but we all voted to come back to campsite, share some wine and play some rummy... GOOD TIMES! First time I ever drank with the kids, it was awesome.
All my neighbors are packing up, and I'm just sitting in a reclining lawn chair watching them scurry about like the squirrels I've been watching gathering acorns all week...
Great trip thus far

Was in Home Depot and picked up a Verdant 3 Channel remote and absolutely love it!!!
With remote, I can turn on and off interior bus lights on channel 1,
turn on or off my Milk House heater (from the bed) on channel 2, and
turn on or off all my exterior campsite lights and redneck 5 gallon chandelier on channel 3

ooooohhh.... sooo jealous! My wife and I are stuck in Kerrville, TX taking care of her Mom who just had her knee replaced. While everything is cruising right along with the recovery, we really can't leave her for more than a few hours. We are so dying for a "Bus Weekend"!!! For now, we must live vicariously through you guys... looks like you are having a great time - enjoy it!!

If you're referring to my bus color, I really like it also... I've got my eye on a 4x4 '90 Suzuki Samurai locally for a toter and I'd paint it the same color scheme (it needs a paint job anyway)

Grab that '90 Sami if you can. It'll make a great 4 down toad. My toad is based on a '89Tracker 4X4 chassis and drive line and is a "kick" to drive. One word of warning though. The owners manual on both tell you to run the motor and trans for a few minutes after each 200 miles of towing. The guy I bought mine from said he had towed it for years and never bothered starting it. I wish he had because at 80K miles I had to replace the burned up transfer case!  Anyway, after a couple of hundred miles I'm more than ready to get out of my bus and stretch and starting the toad is sort of a pleasant diversion.
I've seen several Samis and Kicks with quick disconnect rear drive shafts which make the stops unnecessary. The units are scarce but if I find one I'll jump on it. Jack
