Height of Ole' 41....NOW WHAT??

So I have a 24 X 48 Pole barn heated with a beautiful cement floor.. Been planning on bringing the bu home pulling her in and ripping her down... My door is pretty big and definitely wide enough to accommodate...Or so I thought...Its 9'6" and if I took the door off and put a barn style set of sliding doors its at 10 ish...phew I may just make it...

Well wouldn't you know from the paperwork Thomas bus sent me and the info they shared, The bus stands at 123" from ground to top of emergency hatch..All sounds good right?? well no... 123 inches is 10'4"... So I guess unless I take the air from the tires and it squeezes in I may not have that option anymore...I guess I could get smaller tires and rims, A scrap set or whatever.. But that is something more I'd have to have laying around only to part with them later anyways.. Not to mention more money to spend on something getting thrown away..

Any ideas??

Don't know the building style but can you lift the header for a taller opening if you are going to change doors anyway?

Well The door change was an idea but also wont allow it to happen... I am letting the bank have their house back ... think they'd mind if the pole barn was missing the headers and doors? hell for that matter the heat too...

My only option is to lower the height of the bus by however many inches it has to be to assure no hitting the roof...

Got enough clearance you can drive it in on a set of junk rims? That'd get you the inches you need as long as you're not dragging the bus on the ground

this is a good idea, compared to destroying the barn or bus... This may work... I wonder if the height includes the air ride at full pressure..

Idk about busses but I worked in a truck shop height is full air ride height

?? does this bus have air suspension? If so then just let the air out of the air bags. Should have a valve somewhere for this. Trucks do

Is that height with the hatch open or closed?
If it's air ride, deflate the air bags - detach the control arm to do this if needed.
Deflating the tires is another possibility, though I would do this as a last resort.

Whatever solution you come up with, don't get it in the barn then do a roof raise
