Help! Seat Removal--E250

I need help removing three seats in my E250. I'm in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Is anyone nearby who has the tools and the time? I will pay fair labor cost for your help. I need 11 bolts removed, pics attached. I will work around your schedule and of course bring the van to your location. TY in advance.

Would you share why you are asking someone to help with this task. Maybe your situation is special, but if it's just because you don't have the tools and or knowledge, I think you would benefit putting your money towards tools and materials, vs. paying someone.

If you share what your challenges are, maybe we can better help you.

I've been told in other forums I might need a grinder and/or an impact drill which I do not have and won't buy for one job. I've also been told it might require two people, one inside and another underneath, and if that's the case I do not have anyone to assist me. I have tried using a breaker bar on the socket wrench but can't get them to budge.

your going to need a grinder and an impact driver for a bunch of things on your build. sorry to come off so harshly but if you dont want to buy the tools you need to construct anything really(and these are the small cheap tools you will need) you should of bought an rv. a full frame up conversion of decent quality is not an easy task and you need a considerable amount of tools. as for your bolt question a pair of vice grips on the bolt head, a socket wrench with a breaker bar with some pent up rage should suffice. if that doesnt work go to your local hardware store pick up a 4 1/2'' angle grinder should run you 60-70 bucks and you will you it about 1000 times before your build is halfway done not just to remove 11 bolts

Not to sound harsh BUT you have no idea what my plans are for this van. You have no way of knowing what I will or will not need. You do not live near me so could not help me even if you were so inclined. Why did you even respond? Also, "you're."

The grinder is $19.99 at Walmart. I’m doing it alone on a bus of 22 seats...I think I’m tired lol. I bought the impact tool in my set of craftsman tools from Lowe’s. Both...you’re going to need both

I’ve had an ad on Craigslist for help and no responses yet. It’s been a month.

Tools would cost less than having me come and do it for you. And I go home, you get to keep the tools for future use.

What are your plans for the van?

Why are people responding who are nowhere near me and/or not interested in doing anything but adding their useless 2 cents? Some "community" you've got here.

I've been on here for a bit. The people on here have been very helpful. They deserve to be treated with a lot more respect, especially if you're asking for help.

Why? Because some guy in tin buck two may know someone where you live and with the kind of attitude you're responding with, just may decide they don't want to refer you.

The best way to get great response from a site like this is to tell us what you're trying to do in the overall scheme of your plans. Then, we might be able to really give you some great advice and referrals.

Frankly, I think you need to apologize. Secondly, I think you could go to a local mechanic and they will charge you their $100 per hour.

I for one really don't appreciate your responses and if you can't be nice and appreciative, then don't ask for assistance.

Rivet, you and I have two really different ways to say the same thing, but yours always cracks me up.

My personal observation here is that you did know Jack about removing seats with an 4 1/2 angle grinder and now you could teach a class on it.
You epitomise the whole Skoolie mindset in your mastering of this important and usual first step to Skoolie nirvana!
Thanks

I "asked for assistance" from someone LOCAL to ME and I DID say what I am trying to do--what part of REMOVE THE SEATS was not clear?

I think I made a very simple, reasonable request in my post, I was clear what I was asking for and never in my wildest dreams did I expect the responses I got. If there is an apology needed it is FROM them TO me but, as is often the case in life, when an apology is really needed it's almost never enough.

Also, "Timbuktu" is a city in Mali.
