awesome dude =D me & my crew like to go to DIY festivals & set up a little audio/video
installation with old hardware (apple II's etc). It's a pain in the behind to constantly rent
trucks, stage equip, genny, etc. Plus you always have to return the stuff. I haven't travelled
cross country in ten years..It's about time again (oh yeah, this thread is about money - I
plan to be supported by the websites I design, which can be done from anywhere with an
Internet connection..)
best of luck to you on your bus search! i start mine in feb =D

Re: How do you make money on the road?
He doesnt find new jobs every week, He asks us to send them in... ^.^
He spends one or two days at each job, then goes to the next one. They film the entire season in about a month from what they have said. Then he goes and works on Deadliest Catch and other shows that he does voice overs for.
I remember when he was just a co-host for 'Evening Magazine' a local CBS show about stuff in the SF Bay Area...not that it was that far back to remember.

Re: How do you make money on the road?
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Gullible
Gullible
Main Entry: gull·ible
Variant(s): also gull·able \?g?-l?-b?l\
Function: adjective
Date: 1818
: easily duped or cheated
— gull·ibil·i·ty \?g?-l?-?bi-l?-t?\ noun

I wonder if they have the Fun Definition of 'Normal'.

Re: How do you make money on the road?
Smitty, you claimed that it wasnt in the Webster's Dictonary. I did some checking and that is THE Webster's Dictionary. Apparently they changed the name a while back for some reason (I dont remember it being called "Merriam-Webster", and I cant find my Webster's Pocket Dictionary).
The Fun definition for Normal stated: "What everyone else is, and your not." Was found in a 1997 copy of Webster's Dictionary. I have never seen it since and I think they may have recalled that edition as nobody seems to have it, although they have 96 and 98.

And Smitty, I am not sure if that Anti-Grav will work. I've been trying, but my cat wont stay put long enough for me to tie the toast to him. ^.^
...and he keeps licking the butter off the toast.

Not really, that's how you get a Rocket Propelled Anti-Grav...
At least till there is an O-ring Failure.

Re: How do you make money on the road?
If you have internet, a printer for shipping labels & a post office somewhere nearby, an ebay business is a great way to make money. We have been doing this fulltime for over 4 years now & it supports myself, my wife & our 6 month old daughter. We are not rich but we are able to live in a very remote area with traveling to the city every month or so to get inventory. We hand out business cards to everyone & it really draws commision inventory as people need a way to sell their stuff & get some $ in their pockets! We are learning fast that many people in remote areas are not hooked up to the internet & they act like our business is a brilliant idea which is a bonus for us. If you are traveling you can pick up items all over the place - estate sales, auctions, yard sales etc... just thought I would pass on the idea!
