i think the problem is everyone seems to have a strong opinion on it..
some guys will tel lyou that your engine is ruined if you idle it 3 hours.. and others are of the mind that you can idle it forever...
the common denominator seems to be temperature... my 444E has a placard right on the dash telling you to crank the speed up to idle in cold weather.. (or with the updated ECM software it will automatically adjust itself accordingly to stay warm)...
ultimately it comes down to make sure you dont extract too much heat.. at a slow idle with a viscous fan clutch you are likely to always cool your radiator down to where the thermostat must close.. (unless its really hot).. with an electric clutch you likely will keep your engine close to the top of its operating range as the fan will cut off completely..then kick back in as needed..
I dont know which your bus has in it.. or maybe you have air shutters...
you can contact a dealer as mentioned and see what they say..
at a minimum you need to keep your engine warm.. you'll have a darn good shot being that its warm outside and you wont have interior heaters pulling off engine heat...
