Independent expert or mechanic in SF?

Hello!

I'm new here, but not new to the idea... I'm looking at a bus in San Fransisco that looks perfect, but I'm in Atlanta. Is there anyone here, or does anyone know of someone (an independent expert, or a mechanic, or a good shop) that could look at the bus to give me details on the condition and what repairs will be needed or upcoming? Obviously this would be a service I will pay for.

Thank you so much, this looks like a great community and resource that I hope to become a "real" part of

PS I apologise if this isn't quite the right place to post this, I didn't see anything more obvious looking through the site on mobile this morning :-/ I'll gladly repost elsewhere if necessary.

Welcome MavKat
If there is someone in the area of the bus you're considering they may offer to check it out for you. Generally we try to evaluate buses by getting information about the bus like year, engine make, transmission model, etc. If you can get that information posted here it would help a lot. Photos are always good too.

Good luck

Is it in SF or in the SF Bay Area?

Welcome aboard, MavKat!
Wish I knew of such a mechanic.

But as Stu & Filo bring up.... The city of San Francisco is only a tiny part of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, so clarification on this might help.

Now, if I may.... Why are you shopping for a bus so far from home? You shouldn't need to go farther than Texas, I'm thinking.

And there are "probably" other buses for sale out there. So it may help us guide you on your quest if you lay out your requirements for the bus -- how you plan to use it, and such.
