Interior panel question

Tried searching the site but the search function and I aren’t getting along so well

The galvanized panels below the windows. Do the windows need to come out to remove it? I have all the screws out and the panel is hanging. Gave it a tug but I didn’t pull too hard fearing I’d break something.

On the Thomas E450 cutaway that I am working on the interior metal wraps around the window sill and goes under the outside metal. There was no way to remove it completely I would have had to remove the exterior metal.

I wound up using an angle grinder and cut off wheel to cut the interior metal just below the window frames.

Most bus bodies are completed and painted before the windows are installed.

After paint and windows are installed the insulation and interior panels are installed.

So if your question is do you have to remove the windows to remove the outside panels I think the answer is yes.

Good. I’m pulling all the windows but not yet. Waiting on a new set of coil springs for the front and once I get them in I have to drive the bus to get it inspected.
