What does the length code "length-3904" mean on the build sheet?
Also "W/S-STYLE = 4FF"?
If it's a 40'er, the length would be 39'4", FF probably designates Flat Front.

A Saf-T-Liner is a transit style bus, not a conventional.

can the MT643 be swapped to md3060 with a stand alone controller?
I'd go mechanical.
And yeah you can swap a 3060. You'll need a TPS and maybe a few other things but I've heard its not bad.

you can swap in a MD3060 but you'll need a wiring harness, TCM, do some custom throttle work.. some 3000s had extra mounts that were required that werent required by the 643. .. the electronic shifter will be required.. unless you know your stuff. then go get a bus that already has a 3060

I don't necessarily know the MD3060 but fab'n mounts would be no problem.

There is non running buses outta Fl for under a grand that should have everything for the trans swap. My concern is they are saf t liners and the bus is a bluebird. Of course I could just put the mechanical set up in the non running Thomas.

Dang at at decisions....

Are you talking about that one district in FL that keeps reposting the same batch of BB REs all the time? They’re listed as parts missing so who knows what else they need
