So, I'm curious as to which of the Navistar drivetrain platforms are the most common with the skoolies. It's seems like most of the older stuff is International/Navistar 3000 series, with much of that being 444/7.3L drivetrain.
In the Navistar realm, how many of you folks are running the 444 and how many are running 466? Of these, which do you like better? I know that there is a lot of commonality between the T444e and the Ford Power Stroke 7.3L, which makes parts much more available. However, the larger displacement of the 466 coupled with the fact that a 6 cylinder will generally make more torque than an 8 cylinder of the same displacement, is certainly a desirable option.
Any thoughts on which you prefer and why?
