kansas buses

Hey everyone...I love the new look .....I was wondering if there are any other skoolies here in kansas? I have looked at every bus in the gallery and didn't see any from kansas....having a skoolie has been a dream of mine for a long time...once meet a guy at a lake with a converted bus. that was like in the 90's......my ideas are very redneck and my kids think i'm nuts, but i'm having fun.........thanks for all the ideas from all your skoolies..........more later.........

Re: kansas buses

jsham,
thanks for the reply....i have an '83 chevy bus...took the stop sign off and the lights were already deactivated when i bought it....are there any other regulations that i need to know about for kansas? I saw where some of the states require electricity to be installed..I'm not doing that because my bus is totally a weekend camper....very basic needs to get us off the ground and out of the wind.

Re: kansas buses

There will be special requirements if you want to register it as a motorhome but just for driving it around you are supposed to deactivate the top lights, stop sign, and paint it something other than school bus yellow. Painting is a big job so make sure at least your bus does not say school bus anywhere on it.
