Re: Kipor Generators

Looks like the same inverter technology that the Honda uses so it should be quiet.

Re: Kipor Generators

i have owned 2 honda eu2ki geni's. I also had the opportunity to play with a kippor. It looks to me to be a near identical clone of the honda. It may not be built to the same high tolerences, but who knows. I started it up and plugged stuff into it just for fun.

according to this http://www.helpcharts.com/decibel-range-chart-info.html: sound intensity doubles every 3 db....so if something is 7 db louder, that is more than twice as loud.

My opinion is that you should go to mayberrys.com and order a honda. They are $899, no tax, free shipping.

Re: Kipor Generators

i could run my 110 volt wire feed welder on it's lowest heat setting off of a honda eu2k if i turned the eco throttle off. I welded some stuff while at burningman using this setup.

don't forget that kawasaki makes a little larger inverter/geni and or you could buy a honda eu3000 or a pair of 2K's.

Re: Kipor Generators

Smitty, if you can get a Honda for $899 like Lapeer said, that's only $120 more than the one on your link. I don't think the difference is enough to consider the Kipor. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about the Honda.
