LaContessa Gone

The Spanish Galleon replica LaContessa, built on a skoolie body, seen by many of you at Burningman, is gone as a result of arson. She was burned on the land where it had been stored N of Gerlach, NV. Apparently the new land owner (not Burningman friendly) could not get the owners to remove it when he bought the land.....

Very Sad. Such a unique concept for an old bus. Makes me think that whoever owned it needed to ensure they had a secure location to store it though. Either way, it was one of a kind.

how very sad I was fortunate enough to have to opportunity to climb around inside of and on top of this beauty a couple years back. I took these photos at bm2005 I think.
