Leveling issue

Hey folks,
I have an 1989 MCI and sometimes when it comes up to air pressure, its not level at all. It sits way low on the right side. From doing some reading, I think its the automatic levelers but does anyone have any experience with this? Easy to swap a leveler?

Sounds like the leveling valve is not working or the rod length needs adjusted. Find the leveler valve first.

Couple of leveling valve questions: is this a pretty standard part - as in they're widely available? I believe there are 3 on my bus, 1 in the front and 2 in the back but are they all the same?

So if there is only 1 valve in the front, shouldn't the air be distributed evenly between the 2 front air bags? What would cause one to air up and the other not?

Leveling valves are pretty common so you should have little trouble finding a replacement. Most vehicles only have one on the back and the air is distributed accordingly (but that's not to say separate valves aren't a thing). I'm not entirely sure if they are universal or vehicle specific.

Should be, yes. Either something is keeping air from reaching one bag, one has a leak, or something else is wrong.

Ok, thanks. The left side really comes up high like its trying to over compensate for the low right side. I'm just gonna have to jack it up this weekend and have a look. Not easy to get under this thing with it aired down!
