Looking at a bus

The wife and I just looked at a bus. It’s a 1997 International 11 window with a T444e/545 and air brakes. The body is in great shape with a decent grey paint job already and tinted windows. Now the bad: it has a massive oil leak at the front of the engine. They say it’s the front seal. If it is the front seal I’m sure I can handle the repair without a problem. They are asking $2,000. What do you guys think?

Its the least desirable drivetrain and sounds like it needs repair. High headroom, or low?
