really really tight!

Sorry, i probably should not contribute since i have nothing intelligent to say.

all i know is that to get them off my rattlegun doesn't have enough power, even at 150 psi (which is 50% more than it's rated psi)

I end up using a breaker bar with a 4 foot cheater on the end so i can jump up and down on it.

When I did my lug nuts I had a T-handle breaker bar with a cheater bar on each end had two people turning them.

I saw how they did it at the tire shop when I got new wheels and tires and they used a giganitic air impact wrench. The only way to get them that tight by yourself would be to use a very long breaker bar.

1 inch drive rattle gun....the kind that produces 3 times as much torque as your engine.....

With the "dayton" style wheels you're talking about you have to be very careful about getting them trued up or else all the balancing in the world isn't going to do you any good. The tire guy that did mine spent 20 minutes on each side just truing them up. He had a special tool for the job. It might have been excessive, but I also don't have any shimmy in the front end, even with unbalanced bias play tires.
