Main entrance location

Hey, I'm on fire in the middle of researching conversions.
While designing floor plan for an e 450, wheel chair access short bus, I'm wondering,
" IS THERE A COMMON REASON THAT PEOPLE HAVENT MADE THE REAR DOOR THE MAIN ENTRANCE? It would give alot of new different options towards floor plan.
Looking to you experienced folks, maybe I'm overlooking an important reason? Plan to keep access to both doors thanks to a spin on murphy beds
So excited!

That's how I am doing the Nautibus. Most don't because they put the bed in back.
I removed the front stairway, more work, but then you can have a passenger seat there.
Mine is a trailer conversion, so no seats the front area is the bathroom.

oh, and btw, if you do that, you can make the front seats swivel, so you get a couple feet more in the 'living room' in front.

I wish I had a bus with the wheelchair lift just behind the entrance. Then again, I’d lose a lot of floor space in my shorty. But if you can move it, it sure makes it easier to place a passenger seat.

biggest issue wit ha wheelchair door directly behind the main entrace is thats usually where the fuel tank is so it would be tough to build a new stepwell unless you have a b us with a rear fuel tank or relocate yours..
