She goes up hills w plenty of power and I can ride that bad ass transmission downhill. I guess I’m just going to have get used to interstates at 55-60 mph. I’m good.

I’m w ECCB, if y’all want to hash it out... [emoji51]. Dave
Have you had the transmission unlocked? After I got mine unlocked the best I reached on the local somewhat hilly terrain around here was 73 mph. At which point wind resistance seems to be a problem. Your bus is lighter with the same power rating so you may do better. I plan to do some fuel economy test runs at different speeds later this month. 60 mph before the unlock was yielding about 8.5mpg.

The first HDX I looked at definitely had really tall gears in it, it was screaming at redline at only 55 mph.

Alrighty then! I guess I’ve been thinking about this all wrong. I figured that I am barely in 5th gear at 55mph, so how the heck am I going to ever get up to 6th? Good to know. I’ve never gotten a sniff of 70 mph! Thx Dave

CadillacKid: someone has mentioned your name as an authority on Thomas buses. I just posted in everything else Skoolie heading about a bus I just looked at. 2000 RE 3126B 230hp with 79k miles.gauges are broken or missing except fir speedometer. Broken glass on most gauges. Someone mentioned you upgraded your panel with some fancy gadget. I am new to the Skoolie world so forgive me fir my ignorance. What are thoughts on buying this bus. Please look at my post and give me your opinion. I appreciate it!👍
