Mice - ARgh!
Hey Folks,
Wondering if anyone else has had mice problems on their Skoolies?
The first two years we had the bus, parked in the woods, things were great and mice free... But over the last year they've gotten in and have been relentless setting up nests in drawers, nooks and crannies, and even my toolbox which had a bunch of pinkies in it! To think I was naive enough to think the bus was mice proof since it was so high off the ground.
Any tips for keeping the mice out? I've got two tin live traps baited with mouse poison (so that I can collect them instead of having them dead in the walls) and a bucket trap that seems to be keeping on top of the problem but the smell every time we come back is most terrible and lasts for days... I first noticed them in the overhead compartment above the windshield on the top right, I can't imagine how they got in there but I'm think maybe they've made there way through the engine compartment and maybe through the wiring? Lots of droppings in the engine area... Oh yeah it's a 1982 GMC Bluebird.
Anyone have any ideas how they may be getting in and how I can stop them? Obviously we've stopped keeping food and nest friendly paper products on board...
Thanks!
