MIS for the Batman Begins 400

Anyone else heading to the race this weekend at MIS. I'll be there with my newly remodeled exterior;) But looks like there will be NasTruck race on saturday, then the Nascar race on sunday as usual. Should be a good time. I'll be getting up there sometime on Friday night.

If anyone else is heading up there, shoot me a line.

I"m heading over there. Never been before, and i don't have tickets to the race. Iv'e been told that just partying in the parking lot is a lot of fun.
Gates open at 8 am right?

give me a call if you want on my cell, i'd like some info if you have some to share.

Thanks

Things took longer than i had anticipated today. it's 5pm and i am just now getting ready to pull out of the driveway and head for MIS.

Today i plan to park and hang out, but also travel around to the other parking lots (there is a lot of parking!) to see where i should park tomorrow. When it comes to partying in the skoolie, location is very important.

Wish me luck.....just got the bus back on veggie oil today, this is the trial run for my new and improved veggie system

Met up with andy this past weekend at the race. He has an awsome paint job on that bus!

This was my first nascar race ever.

Wow! there were a lot of buses! I spent the better part of an hour wandering around the infield looking for andy's bus when i first got there. Under normal circumstances, finding a giant black/white/and red bus in a parking lot is not much of a chore. But at Michigan International Speedway, it was like finding a needle in a haystack! I finally had to call him on his cell phone to find out where he was parked. I really couldn't say how many buses there were, but i think that hundreds is a pretty safe starting point.

I got some photos... There are soooo many skoolies at MIS though, I couldn't take pics of them all. Plus I didnt want to look like a damn tourist.

But ya, I am glad Jason called first, it was 7:30 am, and after a good night of drinking, I definately wasn't up! It was really cool to see the Jacuzzi Bus! That thing is friggin sweet. Best of all is his original keyless entry door. Awsome trick!

MIS is definately a skoolie haven. Most of the people with buses there dont even know there is a community outside of Nascar for school bus conversions. Damn hillbillies. But it is a sweet place to get ideas of what to do, and more importantly, what not to do. There are some sweet paint jobs, party decks, interiors, and other crazy things you cant even imagin.

Oh ya, the race was cool to

Ill post some pics soon. I think I'll make an MIS gallery in the gallery?

FINALLY!!!

Yep, I finally added an album to the gallery with pics from the June 05 race at MIS. I didn't even get close to snapping shots of a majority of the buses. Probably only 1% of the ones in the infield. But here they are anyway.

I kike the color on the Orange painted bus...makes me think I'd do it on mine......couldn't hurt to improve it's visibility, either.

Ya, MIS's infield is very nice. All grass with gravel and paved paths (roads) throughout, and a nice paved shopping area in the middle. Though it's really tough to get a spot. I only have a spot cause someone died, really.
