Motor question/opinion?

Yesterday a friend told me I could have a Ford(Intl) diesel engine that he didn't want anymore. I need to get the numbers to see if it is a 6.9 or 7.3. It is a non-turbo and came out of a pickup. It has water in the oil, so it will have to be gone through. Does this engine have enough power to move my 40' BB down the road? I thought maybe a swap for the gas in the 1985.

it will move it. not very quickly, but, it will move it. might want to look at adding a turbo to it if it's in the budget.
