Hey what. Is an average mpg figure for a 2001 Thomas bus with the caterpillar engine?

Clearly there’s a spectrum, I am not a lead foot and I get about 8-9. MPG with my caterpillar C7 (which is a direct descendant of the 3126). I think it depends on rear end gearing, size, and how fast you’re trying to go. I’m on the freeway going around 60-65, and my bus is governed at 65 and with the fairly tall rear and gearing it won’t go much faster.
