My first bus

While looking through pictures for something else I found this picture of my first skoolie. There don't seem to be many pictures of it. This was probably taken in 1988. That's the year we moved into our new house and used the bus to haul stuff. I don't remember much about the details. It was probably a Thomas because it was a trade in to a Thomas dealer. Probably about a 1968 or so. It was a Ford with gas engine and standard tramsmission. It got about 4 MPG.

I was field trialing dogs at the time and I built a walled off space in the rear to haul 12 dogs. It had an RV furnace. We used a gas camp stove and ice chest with army cots to sleep on.

I sold it to a family who was moving to Texas, never heard anything about it after that.

Fox hounds?

Did you modify those windows, or had they already been done?

Border Collies. I did the windows, that's what RV windows were like back then.
