Did you measure the SIZE of that 3406?
It's a terriffic engine, but it is about twice the size of your 5.9!
I sure wonder what it would take to run it laying flat. Oil drain-back would be the main issue, I expect. I'd have to fab a new sump and oil pick-up, for starters. Maybe run some external drain lines. So many ideas, so little money!
