Need some help identifying make and model

Hi all, I’m brand new to the forum. The skoolie in the photos isn’t mine, but belongs to a friend. It was passed down to him, so he doesn’t know much about it. From the VIN we found inside the engine compartment, it appears to be a 1981. Is there anyone out there who might be able to pinpoint the make and model based on the definitive characteristics in the attached photos? It has the letter “S” embossed on the hood, plus two other sets of doors not counting the normal folding entry point and the emergency exit/egress at the rear. Thank you! 🙂

I don't know the body manufacturer, but the chassis looks a lot like a Chevrolet P30 chassis, aka the "bread truck" chassis.

Does it still run?
