Howdy - My name is Larry and I live in N.E. Oklahoma.
On here my name is pervy which is a long story but it isn't what you may think!
I haven't started my bus yet but I will this spring. In fact I don't own a bus yet, but I will soon. I just got home from our local school bus garage where I spoke with the manager, David, and a mechanic, Larry, who I have known for many years.
There are two buses which have just been taken out of service. David and Larry agree that either one is in great mechanical condition. Although they have similar mileages one is newer and ran longer highway distances than the other which ran a route closer to town.
The newer one is the one I will bid on (blind bid) in a few weeks. It is a 1989 (mfg date) International / Ward body / 69 passenger -- 7.5 International diesel w/4sp allison automatic -- 162k miles. Sold as new in 1991.

Welcome Larry, glad you found us. There are several of us from Oklahoma here, so you know your in good company, nationwide!

I just got my 92 ward Senator about 3 months ago, got the seats out and tagged/insured, floors chalked up so I 'll have an idea if everything will fit, but that's about it so far. Done walked around it a thousand times and have a pretty good idea of where my tanks, generator, etc is going.

There are some sharp minds on this site, so don't be afraid to ask questions. And good luck with your bid.

Good to see a fellow Okie here. I hope to have a skoolie sitting here by spring or sooner. I've measured my old travel trailer interior so many times my tape is wearing out. LOL
