Paint Remover

Whats the best way to apply paint remover? Should I put it in a bottle and spray it on, or wipe it on with a sponge.

I am finally going to try doing a "proper" paint job and I need to remove the last 6 coats of paint

Depends on what kind you use, some are runny liquids and some are gels. You will have the best luck with a remover that contains methylene chloride. I personally like the gel type removers because I can use a brush or roller to apply it. You should get a respirator becaues the solvents will get to you.
