Parking…Creative Ideas?
I am in an area where parking is extremely limited and even on neighbor.com here the minimum is $150mo.
Does anyone know of creative places to park in Maryland that are $65mo or less? (Yes, I have asked a few local churches and called storage locations). I have a 6 window short bus (Chevy 3500 front that can fit in a standard parking spot) btw.
This would be easier if I were already on my land, but my land is on the other side of the country and I can’t move my bus there until my floors, electric, plumbing, and paint job are done.

Search for nearby whole-house short-term rentals (airbnb, vrbo, etc). May take a drive or two around the block as they don't show the actual addresses, but you can usually tell from the pictures when you've found the right place. Then just park in front of their house. Nobody lives there so there's no-one to complain, and the neighbors are already used to a constant stream of traffic so you'll blend right in. In the off-chance the police do show up, just tell them you're renting the place. Best yet, if you have grey/black water tanks that need draining, or trash that needs dumping, or pets that need emptying, their front yards are the perfect spot... though you probably want to limit this sort of activity to the 10 minutes prior to your departure.
If you're ever in AZ I've got a few great parking spots like this I'll be happy to clue you into.

This is a diabolical scheme and I love it.

What they've done to neighborhoods & housing availability where I live is diabolical.
Camping out in front of them is both good sense and poetic justice.
I was 100% serious. It's exactly what I'd do if I was in the OP's position.
Maybe not the dumping part. But everything else. Not that I'm not 100% serious about that too. But my better half would likely put the kibosh on that sort of thing. She's pretty good at keeping me out the trouble.

Thanks. This is indeed very creative lol. The biggest issue here is everything is so crowded. I literally would just take my floors done and paint job at this point and head across the country for everything else. My neighbor next to me where I’m moving is an electrician. However, I’m stuck right now In this pit on the east coast. Everyday I’m more and more annoyed by the unnecessary expenses.

Maybe look for boat storage yards. We had good luck just an hour outside of Chicago when we were living there. All the RV storage places were expensive, but the boat storage place was like 30 bucks a month. It was just some guys rural property and we parked in his yard. We also found a truck storage place that was on the cheaper side.

Honestly, I don't think $150/mo is all that bad - I pay $100/mo for my parking spot, and that's in the Philly burbs where storage parking is not all that easy to find. I found it by just driving around looking for any lot where there were a bunch of RVs and other vehicles parked. A lot of places like this don't advertise anywhere so that's the only way to find them. Offer to pay in cash (I'm sure people that run these places would never dream of avoiding taxes) and don't mention that you're going to be working on the bus - as they say, it's better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission.

Thanks for the ideas. $100-$150 is bad if you don’t have it. Of course things would be much less if I had my bus finished because I could move and save about $1800mo.
