Amen. Yup. They only thing I don't love about driving 1998 Amtran pusher with the international 7.3 as my car is the 8-10 mpg of diesel fuel. But the truth is my 1996 GMC 2500 with a 454 gas engine doesn't do as well.
I would really love the short wheelbase version of this bus. They are really fun to drive.

If a bus build is constantly evolving how could it ever be finished? For example, when I built my solar energy system I let it run for 5 years before buying the fancy accessories to monitor the system. At the same time I fabricated a breaker box and upgraded my main inverter breaker.
Maybe another question would be what percent bail out and sell part way? And what percent turn them I to a yard ornament?
So for me it’s lots of mini accomplishments along the way.

I'm glad I wasn't more specific, because this has turned into quite an interesting discussion. But when I originally created the post, that's pretty much what I had in mind... people that bailed mid-way through before ever getting any 'RV time' in it. Not people taking longer than x-amount of time, or those who continue to add to, remove from, or modify an already functional conversion.
