Prepping to evac.

Big ol' fire nearby so the 4x4 is on the trailer, hooked to the bus and the car is on the dolly hooked to Mary's car. Important stuff is loaded and we're ready if need be. Wish us well.

Goodwin fire in AZ.

Best wishes & be safe!

Been there twice myself. Lost one house. The second one we had fire fighters in our back yard...

We had to go through the same thing with the doghead fire here in new mexico. I had to help evac a few friends and multiple livestock, but luckily we didnt have to evacuate, and hopefully you dont either. Best of luck to you.

Looks good here this morning...very calm. Maps show we are out of danger but soooo many others aren't.
Have a friend that lost his house to a house fire recently, living in a trailer/shed and now he's been evacuated.

Huge resources are on this.

One hour at a time.

Glad to hear you are safe. Keep an eye on it and stay vigilant.
Portable power unit... Another benefit to having a bus!

The fire killed the vegetation and now we had a flood. Jumped in the bus, grabbed the neighbors and hauled ass.
We are fortunate, water didn't get in our house but things are a mess. Our out buildings....Well tomorrow we shall evaluate. Black water from the fire.... yuk.

Don, Mary and Spooky the wonder cat are high and dry in AZ, we have each other.

My bus would be a horrible bug out vehicle. I can get stuck on flat ground if the grass is wet. Better to attach flotation devices to the sides and try to sail it to safety as the water levels rise.
