Post Projects to tackle before bringing home a bus

What to consider or plan, is well covered here:
https://www.skoolie.net/forums/f9/so...rst-11647.html

What about stuff to do?

Before we purchased Freddy D, we completed a few projects that proved to be useful sooner, rather than later.

A composting toilet:
We used it immediately as our home is1300 ft away from our build site. A place to go is useful on the first bus drive home and everyday after. Lady time, especially.

Power and water:
We hand dug a long, 2ft deep trench and buried two pvc lines, one power and one water. We use both every day.

Clear a path thru the woods:
We could weave a car or truck up the other driveway, but for a bus, we had remove trees, stumps and a few not-so-high limbs.

Parking - clear, flat, reinforced:
We made two pads, as we also bought a shipping container. Buses are heavy enough to sink with a little time and rain.

There are other projects which I started & would have liked to have finished, prior to bringing home Freddy, but they've slow pace now.

Each builders' situation is different.
What other pre-arrival projects could a skoolie-to-be tackle before getting their bus to the build site?

Mr Beefy's cross-country adventure home was a hair stressful. I'm thinking a psychiatrist who makes house calls waiting on standby would be the ticket. Preferably prepared to administer a shot of something soothing.

Second best option would be a six-pack on ice.

Hahaha.
Ok, Dr. Feelgood first. Maybe a cooler or a rolling tray and a seating area?

I'm relaxed just looking at that pic, DeMac. I'd have a hard time getting much work done at su casa. Needs more concrete and CO emissions.

Unfortunately, we only sit down when we're exhausted. It didn't always look this way. Lots of fencing, digging, and tree cutting, plus a caring for the animals.

Check permitting/zoning.

Can you park it at home?

Can you work on it at home?

Thats falls under education. Not really building something.

Just apply for the proper permits, pay tax, do the work, get inspected. Thats how the county educated us. Don't be scared to do it legally, inspection tax is cheap.

Sorry, I thought we were listing projects that should be done before bring home a bus, not projects that needed to be built. My bad.

What kind of goals can be accomplished before hand?

I still haven't had any air brake training, let alone cdl licensing. Wish I had done that long ago.
