Question Proper way to dry out a crawl space?

The old neighbor has a crawl space under his house and it has been wet under there. He has a box fan 20" blowing air underneath through a 24x48 " opening. Wouldn't he be better to turn it around and draw out the air? 38X24 FT CRAWL SPACE ABOUT 2 FT OFF THE GROUND.darn caps!

I would "pull" the air out, but you have to make sure there is air coming in. A perfect scenario would be an opening across from where you are drawing air out.

make sure he has gutters on the house with down spouts. there should be plastic on the ground, you shouldn't need a fan just vents on each side of the house

if the crawl space is getting that much water you may nmeed to think about french drains and a sump pump similar to northern basement drainage.

We use one of these at the shop to pull smoke away from the laser engraver... WAY OVERKILL!
But I read some reviews where people are having pretty good luck ventilating various areas.
