Rear Axle Gears

Local Shop selling used gears: based off my Vin has said mine are 5.13 and reccomend selling me a used set of gears of 4.33 for $500.00

Currently the bus is slow upper 50's and lower 60's at best. Would this be a good change, or is there a better ratio that people have found?

If you measure accurately how tall your rear tires are and know the gear ratios I can tell you what difference there will be in mph at same RPM.

changing the gears will lower your rpm's. You'll get more top speed, unless its governed/limited.

Didnt even think about a govenor on it. Ill have to look into that. Yeah im traveling mostly around the midwest so getting the top speed up a little bit would be quite nice going from iowa to ohio and back for example. 55 is rough
