Post-Desert Storm USAF (NASKEF Iceland, and Grand Forks AFB), NJ Guard (including OIF III)- Army and Air.

And yes, that (unfortunately) is a rainbow on my shoulder. MacArthur and his "The 42d is a Rainbow from Coast to Coast..." Although the 40th ID guys had both the rainbow and their "Flaming Arsehole" (sunburst)

'Tis ok. I was in the battalion 6, so I didn't get outside the wire much. Although, after hearing "I need my computer unlocked" for 8 of the 10 months we were there, I was about ready to request Samarra or Baqabah.

Dad was an airplane mechanic in WWII, serving his native Canada. It gives me a warm feeling when I think of the role aircraft played in the Allied victory - and how critical it was that the machines stayed reliable.

Brother served in the USAF as a navigator on the KC135; he saw service in Desert Storm over Turkey. Combat craft would go to his plane for fuel and then back in the thick of it.

T.Y.!
