Roadside insurance

I currently have good Sam insurance for the Skoolie and inquired about the roadside assistance coverage and they told me that they DO NOT cover bus conversions. A thread in this forum suggests that GOOD SAM honors roadside coverage for Skoolie. Has their policy changed??

I think there was a recent thread about Good Sam dropping roadside coverage. I recall reading it a couple months ago. I dropped them before they made the change and were able to drop us. Take that, suckahs!

We have the AAA top of the line premium RV coverage with 200 mile tow for the RV and all the other bells and whistles.
We just got informed that they are changing the service and will now only cover the first $500. HELL that won't even get you hooked up in many places.
We're in the market.

Thanks for the replies and info. It seems concerning that companies do not want to help the “so called Skoolie “ folks with basic RV roadside assistance.

I just looked at Coach-Net and for $249 you get what appears to be a better deal than AAA was before they tanked their service.
We'll be looking into them more deeply but it looks like they're going to get our business.

I’ve been with Good Sam for 20 years and they just sent me a letter stating they are dropping roadside assistance for my Bus, but will still cover all my other vehicles so it’s still the best service out there. My bus doesn’t run so not a biggie right now someday though. Never had coverage in my younger days, so it’ll just encourage me to fix it right

I switched from AAA RV Plus to Coachnet - they cover skoolies from everything I had read, and the $249 PER YEAR can't be beat for limitless towing to a qualified repair facility!

We will probably be doing the same. Just no hurry since we're still in demo. I must have pulled out 2000 feet of wire by now and I've still got more to go.

I just canceled Good Sam because after three days of trying to get a tow they told me that my conversion bus was not covered. I also tried to add the bus to my AAA account and they also told me that they would not cover it. Looking for suggestion on who I might sign up with for Roadside assistance and towing insurance.

I think Coachnet is the only game in town for skoolies anymore.

After 20 years with Good Sam, I received a letter explaining that they would no longer provide roadside assistance for my Bus. However, they would continue to provide support for my other cars, making Good Sam the greatest service available.

I’m in Utah. Have AAA Colorado. The folks in Utah stated they will not do a tow because it is a bus conversion. Called back to Colorado AAA. They said they would cover via reimbursement. 3 hours later, next to a busy hwy and now dark. Tow truck on the way.
