Rust

I know no rust is best...

But I am wondering if you can advise on this rust.

Could it be fixed with not too, too much sweat and tears?
If sweat and tears - how much? What would be involved?

Is it on the body? Is it surface? I can't tell.

I would really, really like this bus to work out - we cannot go West right now for something perfect and for us time is of the essence.

It's a 2003 Ford e-450 with 155,000 miles.

Seems good otherwise.

Thank you for your help.

That fuel tank looks pretty rough. And you have enough visible indications of severe rust on the body that there are probably more problems still hidden. It can probably be fixed, but not without a lot of sweat and tears - not to mention straight cash for a new fuel tank: https://midwestbusparts.com/index.ph...word=fuel+tank

Ouch.

Thanks, musigenesis.

She said the last time she took it to a mechanic they asked her if she wanted to work on the rust, and she declined. I imagine the mechanic thought he could make a pretty penny.
