Seeking advice 1994 E-350

Hey, first post here. Hoping this is in the right place! I’m looking for opinions, suggestions, and maybe some reassurance on a potential purchase.

1994 e350 with 7.3 212,000 miles

It’s been owned by the same owner for 8 years. It’s had a full paint job, the transmission has been replaced within 5000 miles. It was a retired bus, retired for some minimal rust but I was told NY is strict with things like that on an operational bus.

It’s a single axle. Just 4 wheels. Can that handle enough weight? The tires are in good shape supposedly. It’s been sitting for just under a year.

Power steering works, all the electrical works, 2x batteries. The main problem is perforation in the fuel down tube. Apparently filling it up with a tank is fine but the pressure from a gas station nozzle causes leakage. But overall it looks really clean and it has definitely been well loved. Little things like ball joints have been done etc.

I’m hesitant about the mileage and because of its good condition they’re asking 4K. Is that appropriate?
