Definitely watch the "Adept Ape" videos on the 3126 & C7 engines (same block) found on youtube.
For that kinda money asking to see a printout from a CAT dealer (who can read the engine and trans history for codes and condition) seems a reasonable thing. That's ridiculously low mileage -- I'd like it confirmed before paying that kinda money. If correct that engines newly new -- good for another 200,000 if maintained right.
My 3126 starts and idles like new and it has 178,000 on it. Blackstone Labs gave me an analysis of my old eng oil before I changed it indicating nothing abnormally worn in my engine...
