Re: $$$
I'm hoping to stay below $6K, including price of the bus which was $3500.
Keep in mind my build is extremely simple, bare minimum necessities for a family of 4 to spend a long w/e at the RV park

If you are using it just to camp and not live i retract my previous statement. Most of your stuff wont be permanently installed as a guess. And shower and bathroom is not requirdd either. Then yeah, the ac and genny will be your biggest expenses then.

My wife and I are planning on converting a bus with our 2 soon to be 3 kids and travel while there young and get out of the city we're tired of the drugs and crime and high population so we figured we'd travel until we found a place to call home. Can't wait to sell my house

I have talked to more than one person that has Lived mobile recently (seems getting a bus everyone thinks I want to live in it).. who has said factoring in the cost of a national chain gym membership was made their move possible...
most gyms offer specials for 1 year at a time... so they would play devils advocate at back N forth pricing.. the gym membership gave them access to always clean showers and of course real bathrooms..
in the one guy's case he had a small chemical style toilet for the " I gotta go now" scenerios but otherwise they hit the gym once a day for real showers.. exercise, and such.. thus he never had to really worry where to "dump" as his chemical style / composting?? toilet wasnt used crazy amounts and was easy to dispose of without tanks..
paper plates and plastic forks were go-to for dishes.. and he wasnt much a cook.. so he ate light, or ate out... so cleaning cookware wasnt a huge concern.. he did grill which was cheap and easy to clean..

I haven't bathed in years. 3 i think.
Yep, the chemicals in tap water make me feel awful, so i use a magnesium oil on my underarms, feet, and private area. I was told many years ago by a homeless man in California, that the body can mostly clean itself. I wasn't sure i believed but here i am.

not sure i could get into that... but why not capture rain water and use that.. after one of our major league storm events here in the city a few years back we had power but lost water.. so for awhile I was getting water from my office in 5 gallon "cubes" and found sponge bathing every 2 days that I felt and smelled quite clean.. 5 gallons was more than enough... at one point it started to rain again so I borrowed the neighbors baby pool and connected the downspout to it and collected water for us.. it worked great even after it ran off an asphalt roof... (our houses were 6 years old then).. im guessing there were a lot less chemicals in the rain water ?
