SkoolieDOTcom Roof Deck Mounts

Hello. My very first post so apologies if I'm doing this in the wrong place. I'm looking for photos of any SkoolieDOTcom roof deck bracket installs. The interior to be specific. Or, any photos of how others have attached any form of roof brackets to the hat channels, from the interior. My bus is a 2007 International CE300. Many thanks!

Hello, again. I'll narrow down my query. Has anyone used the roof deck brackets manufactured by skoolie.com?

I used their swivel feet deck mounts on my shuttle bus. I could not find a single image or thread online about them so I installed only according to the product description.

In the end, I feel that the deck is really high up (about 9 inches) which could create a lot of wind force underneath. It also will be shading my solar panels. If I were to do it again I don't think I would be using them.

Thanks Tannerlittle. I finished my deck with the mounts. Here are a couple of pics...

Did you use the provided screws for attaching the feet to the ribs? I like the look of this design a lot more and am seriously considering rebuilding the deck with the feet moved further down the ribs, especially now that I am mounting solar panels and am worried about shading. The reason I hadn't done this originally is I am concerned with having the entire weight of the deck resting solely on the screws with a downward force, rather than in my current case there is no weight on the screws.

Yes but I want my deck as low to the roof, ideally touching the roof at its peak, I don't know if the shorts are too short to fit my bus. The long one I know will be too tall.

Get a ten foot 2x4, mark the width of your deck on it, then put it on the roof and measure the distance from the bottom of the 2x4 to the roof. Looks like these brackets can be put anywhere on the curve or shoulder, so the only question would be how close together they need to be to hold the deck off the roof.
