I no longer have my bus. I sold it (and other stuff) to buy a flashy rock for a certain someone, but that's ok because life just hasn't allowed for me to make use of a bus. I graduated from college after a LONG senior year doing Formula SAE and got a job working for Ford in Dearborn. A year of that was about all I could handle (loved the job, loved the area, loved the car culture, didn't like being away from family and my fiance). Now I have a job back in Minnesota at a manufacturer of precision measuring hand tools (calipers, micrometers, etc) as well as optical comparators and video inspection machines so life is good. Call it the American dream...bought a house, got a dog, getting married in a few months...but I haven't lost the itch for skoolin'. I don't have a bus anymore, but I do have some connections now at Ford so maybe I can at least be of help to people with diagnostics on those chassis.

I have no problem saying who I work for. I'm proud to work for an American manufacturing company. We are currently called S-T Industries, but you would probably recognize the name Scherr-Tumico, Rank-Scherr-Tumico, Tumico, or The Tubular Micrometer Company (we've been around under a few names since just after WWII). Machinists probably best know us for our distinctive tubular frame micrometers.

I've had that handle since we had a 28.8k dial up modem. I don't remember what it was I first signed up for, but I was required to have a number in my handle so I chose my high school graduation year. I also have been known to use the_experience3006 which reflects one of my favorite rifle calibers. I wish the story was more exciting.
